Is There a Difference Between a Chimney Sweeping & a Chimney Cleaning?
The terms “chimney sweeping” and “chimney cleaning” are often used interchangeably in this industry, and both refer to the same process of removing obstructive debris and soot from chimneys. The formal industry term is “chimney sweep” since it’s technically impossible to get a used chimney completely clean, like you might a sink or bathtub. Not to mention we are often referred to as chimney sweeps by job title and in our certifications by the Chimney Safety Institue of America (CSIA) as CSIA Certified Chimney Sweeps.
However, we do a lot more than just chimney sweeps these days! We’re a full-service chimney and masonry repair contractor.

How Often Should I Book My Chimney Sweep & Inspection?
An inspection and sweep should be performed at least once per year – once if you use your system normally and more if you use it on a more frequent basis.
